Ethics

UX ethics.

Sprout exists inside companies that estimators, site managers and installers depend on to do honest work. The system carries the same responsibility — eight commitments we check every release against.

The Sprout pact

We back the people who build things. Software that respects their time, their data and their judgement — and never tries to be cleverer than they are.

Eight commitments

Defaults predict the right answer, never the answer that benefits Aceve at the user's expense. No pre-checked upsells, no opted-in mailing lists, no quiet auto-renewals.

Code smell. If a checkbox is pre-ticked, it must be the option the user already had.

Review checklist

Use this on every PR that ships a user-visible change.
